Purple and Paws I’ve had Socks for almost two and a half years now.
He’s such a funny, sweet, silly boy who brings so much joy to my life.
The crazy this is, I originally wanted to adopt another dog I had seen in my local newspaper, a Dalmatian mix.
When I contacted AZ Rescue and told them I wanted to meet him, I was informed that, unfortunately for me but happily for him, he was in the process of being adopted by his foster family. The person I talked to suggested two other dogs up for adoption who were similar to the Dalmatian. Off I went to check out “Socks”.
I wasn’t sure about the name, but I immediately thought he was a beautiful dog with his two-tone eyes and striking black and white markings. We arranged a meet-and-greet at a local boarding facility where I interacted with him in a playroom. He loved chasing after toys and sniffing my feet.
Next he came over for a home visit and enjoyed romping through the yard and smelling every inch of the carpet.
I knew I needed to adopt this dog.
A week later, after filling out all the proper paperwork, I picked Socks up and brought him home. Now I can’t imagine my life without him.
